Cable Clean High Voltage Splice Cleaner - 16 oz
Cable Clean RD is a chlorinated solvent-based cleaner for the removal of contaminants from high voltage cables. Cable Clean RD offers effective cleaning action with the benefits of non-flammability, no residue and fast evaporation. Cable Clean RD can be used to replace 1,1,1-Trichloroethane without sacrificing performance. The rapid evaporation makes Cable Clean RD safe on virtually all cable substrates. Cable Clean RD contains no known ozone depleting chemicals. Removes wire pulling compounds, antioxidation compounds, and semi-conductive particles which can remain on cable after removal of insulation. Non-corrosive, non-conductive and non-staining.
Significantly reduces the risk of fire caused by incidental contact with live electrical equipment, increasing user safety. No Class I or II Ozone Depleting Chemicals. Offers superior performance while complying with the EPA regulations on the use of ozone depleting compounds. M.S.D.[L.]-Material Safety Data Label provides instant access to current safety information should an accident or OSHA inspection occur. Helps comply with OSHA Hazardous Communications Standard 29 CFR 1910.1200.
Applications Recommended for removal of dirt, adhesives, silicones, anti-oxidation compounds and other contaminants from semi-conductive cores of high voltage cables when splicing and terminating cables.
