Founded in 1988 as WorkWell and acquired by Volk Enterprises in 1995, the company name of Volk Protective Products was adopted in 2003. Volk Protective Products provide best practices and market value to the food processing, foodservice, industrial safety, and janitorial/sanitation industries. Volk is also a leader in the professional services markets, including childcare and elder care.
Volks product offering has grown. Volk still offers only the highest quality latex, nitrile and poly gloves; the largest selection of Vinyl gloves; aprons, bouffants and beard covers; and products for heavy duty applications including heat, chemical and cut-resistant gloves. We now also offer eye protection, hearing protection and respiratory masks.
Volk Protective Products grew out of a company called Work Well, founded in 1988 by Dave McLaughlin in Columbus, Ohio. The company focused on McLaughlin's better idea for the foodservice industry: two patented disposable glove dispensing systems (Dispense Safe) to improve inventory control and create a more efficient and sanitary kitchen work area.
Work Well was acquired in 1995 by Volk Enterprises and the company name was changed to Volk Protective Products.
